    Examination of mechanical and medical application properties of coronary stents

    The medical application properties of coronary stents describe their behaviour in the human vascular system from planting to functioning. However these properties have great importance to surgeons, not all of them have standardized examination methods. In our study we demonstrate three procedures, which can be used to examine stents, considering the referred properties, like flaring, trackability and MSA (metallic surface area). In the course of our research four stents were investigated, three made of tube and one made of wire, and the results were promising about the application of these methods described in the followings

Personal data of Schmidt are given, with a list of all his 22 publications and 25 Lepidoptera names proposed as new for science.     Two species of Arzecla Duarte et Robbins, 2010 are described from Colombia, namely: Arzecla straboris Bálint, sp. n. (type locality: El Aguila, Manizales, Caldas), and Arzecla straelena Bálint, sp. n. (type locality: Cerro Ingrumá, Riosucio, Caldas), both on the basis of a single male specimen. New species possess a combination of characters, unique in the genus, hence they are easy to identify. A  checklist with biogeographic and country indications and a key for identification based on wing characters for all described Arzecla species is provided.     Notes on the identity of the male paralectotype of Thecla heodes and description of a new species : Strymon cryptodes sp. nov. from northern Peru (Lepidoptera: Lycaenidae)

    A new species, Strymon cryptodes sp. nov. is described from puna grasslands of northern Peru. Its phenotype corresponds with the male paralectotype of a congeneric species originally described as Thecla heodes Druce, 1909, which, in consequence, turns out to be a mixture of two biological species. Males of S. heodes have conspicuous scent patches, absent in S. cryptodes sp. nov. The new species is known from four individuals recently collected in the vicinity of the city of Cajamarca and two historical specimens from other localities in the department of Cajamarca. Based on wing colour patterns and other morphological characters S. cryptodes sp. nov. is placed in the Strymon istapa species-group defined by Robbins & Nicolay (2002), although the presence or absence of male androconial patch and genitalia brush organ are demonstrated not to be a valid diagnostic infrageneric character

    Faunistical records and annotations for a better knowledge of the Tajikistani moth and butterfly fauna (Lepidoptera: Noctuoidea, Papilionoidea)

    On the basis of 3333 specimens, geographical, spatial and temporal records of 225 noctuid and 37 papilionoid Lepidoptera species are given for the better knowledge of the fauna of Tajikistan. The following 25 species are recorded as new for the Tajikistani fauna: Agrotis golickei Ershov, 1871, Amphipyra cancellata Warren, 1911, Anapoma riparia (Boisduval, 1829), Archanara insoluta (Warren, 1911), Autophila einsleri Amsel, 1935, A. laetifica (Staudinger, 1901), A. maculifera Staudinger, 1888, Callopistria latreillei (Duponchel, 1827), Chazaria incarnata (Freyer, 1838), Chersotis lehmanni Varga, Gyulai, Ronkay et Ronkay 2013, Cirrhia tunicata (Graeser, 1890), Conistra pseudopolitina Hacker, 1990, Cryphia maeonis (Lederer, 1865), Cucullia tecca Püngeler, 1906, Dichagyris naumanni Varga, 1996, Episema minuta Boursin et Ebert, 1976, Eugnorisma cuneiferum Varga et L. Ronkay, 1994, Hypena opulenta (Christoph, 1877), Lophoterges varians Ronkay, 2005, Mniotype dubiosa (Bang-Haas, 1912), Namangana cretacea Staudinger, 1888, Nonagria puengeleri pringlei (Wiltshire, 1958), Orthosia reshoefti Hrebaly et Plante, 1994, Oxytripia orbiculosa (Esper, 1799) and Shargacucullia zerkowitzi (Boursin, 1934). The hitherto unknown female of Perigrapha heidi Hreblay, 1996 and male of Orthosia reshoefti are described. The taxonomic and nomenclatorial problems of Polymixis roehrei Boursin, 1961 are discussed, resulting the new synonymy Dasysternum colluta Draudt, 1934 = Polymixis roehrei Boursin, 1961, syn. n. New distributional data for Ostheldera kondara Varga et Ronkay, 1991 (Darvaz Mts.) are given with some additional comments on the female genitalia characters in comparison with those of O. minna Ronkay et Varga, 1994

    A remarkable record of the genus Pseudolucia from Bolivia (Lepidoptera: Lycaenidae)

    The occurrence of a taxon morphologically close to Pseudolucia jujuyensis Bálint, Eisele & Johnson, 2000 is recorded in dry habitats of Torotoro Dinosaurs National Park, Potosí, Bolivia. This record remarkably extends the range of Pseudolucia by almost 800 km northwards in austral South America. Five specimens were available for examinations, hence wing-pattern, genitalia and mitochondrial DNA were analysed. However, the taxonomy of the specimens could not be satisfactorily resolved in relation to P. jujuyensis, for which only the holotype exists. The females use Cuscuta for ovipositing, what is supposedly the larval host – a remarkable character of the chilensis species group of Pseudolucia, which includes P. jujuyensis. On the basis of molecular markers it was revealed that the Torotoro population is the sister to the rest of the chilensis species group, which together are the clade sister to the rest of the genus
